William Gahl, M.D., Ph.D. / NIH
Dr. Gahl received his medical training at the University of Wisconsin. He is
board certified in Pediatrics, Clinical Genetics and Clinical Biochemical Genetics.
Currently, he is the Head of the Section on Human Biochemical Genetics at the NIH.

Jerry Schneider, M.D. / UCSD Department of Pediatrics
Dr. Schneider received his medical training from Northwestern University, Johns Hopkins, and the NIH. He has been involved in cystinosis research for 30 years. His career in cystinosis began at the NIH. Currently, Dr. Schneider is a Professor of Pedatrics at UCSD.

Jess Thoene, M.D. / University of Michigan
Dr. Thoene received his medical training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Bethesda Maryland. He specialized in Biochemical Genetics at the UCSD. Currently, he is a Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Professor of Biological Chemistry at the University of Michigan.

Doris Trauner, M.D. / UCSD Department of Neurology
Dr. Trauner received her medical training at the University of Virginia, Richmond, specializing in Pediatric Neurology. Currently, she is the Chief of Pediatric Neurology at UCSD.
