Funding:

Please note: We have no space to commit to other trainees at this time, and we are not accepting applications for these laboratory fellowships for 2017, 2018, or 2019.

Fellowship

Funding is not guaranteed for any fellowship position, and it will be the responsibility of the fellow to arrange for funding. Qualified fellows (U.S. citizens only) may be able to apply for a T32 Training Grant position. However, the trainees may need to arrange for funding from an extramural source (private grants or postdoctoral fellowship positions).

Travel

Due to the limited funding of our small program, we are unable to cover the travel costs associated with an interview for our selected applicants. Nor are we able to provide relocation reimbursements to our fellows.

Conferences

Coverage of costs to attend conferences will generally be determined by the policy and provisions of the individual trainee's funding source.

Visas

Neither the Department nor the Division can cover costs for visas for trainees. All fellows who require visa support (H1-B or J-1 visa status) will be required to pay all visa costs required by both the UCSD International Students and Programs Office and their home country with their own personal funds.
